Wishing...

Don't you just wish there were a "Mother Fairy". Don't you wish that she had all the right answers?
You could go to her when you had a question about discipline, and she would know exactly what would work for each individual child. Not a pat answer, or a universal, but a situation by situation type guidance tailored for you and your child!
You could ask her how to handle the sensitive subjects so you don't goof it up when your five year old tells you "Sammy held my hand today in the cafeteria"...
You could always turn to her when it's already 4:00, and 'the husband' is due home in a half an hour and you have no idea what is for dinner, and your cupboards are bare because payday is tomorrow. She would have a plan on how to get the laundry folded quickly and a healthy delicious dinner prepared in a short amount of time, and with what you have on hand.
You could cry on her shoulder when the kids have exhausted you and you don't know how you'll carry on. She would whisper sweet words of wisdom and encouragement.
You could tell her all about how excited you are when you see your child learn something new, and she would understand exactly what you are talking about.
You could call upon her strength to get you out of bed earlier than the children so you feel half way put together for the day.
Wouldn't it be fun to have a "Mother Fairy"?

This is so cute, Amy! Yes! I think it would be fun to have a Mother Fairy.

Oh, but we have something even better! You can't see His physical form, but He has a wonderful shoulder for crying upon, and I know from personal experience that He has great ideas for meals in a pinch.

If nothing else, He knows how to whisper peace when Frantic and Frenetic threaten to be the ones to greet Husband at the door. Throw an onion in some sizzling butter in a pan and tell him with a beautiful, dazzling smile that dinner will be a bit late... then get creative!

He is the one who leads me beside quiet waters, and when I don't know the answer to the hand-holding and I can't see the floor for the pile of laundry, He bids me take a deep breath and slooooow down. It will all get done. It's the *manner in which it gets done* that really matters.

Love you.

I have one of those- God! Thank goodness His strength, patience, love and forgiveness is unabounding!!! :)
What I would like to have is another mom of a large family, who lives local, that I can hang around with, and share the whole-big-family life thing with. *sigh* Guess I found another prayer!
