Introductions...

Hello dear readers,

I thought it was about time for me to make some introductions. This friend of mine and I go way back! Though I've known her for a long time, the beginning of our relationship was rather rocky.

Her name is Organization.

When I first met her I was very young and she and my sister were BEST friends. I was jealous, but whenever Alicia would invite her to come hang out with us I would reject her completely. That's why my sister constantly complained about my Sunday school papers overflowing from my drawer, the Barbies not put away properly (or at all!), the books on the shelf being stacked instead of lined up by size, and an unmade bed. Many times this frustration finally gave way to a line being drawn on the floor with a jump rope!
After years of rejection I thought for sure Organ and I would never be friends. And yet, there we were in college together! She was once again quite close with my roommate and her influence on me was beginning to show. I no longer pushed her away, but embraced all that she wanted to teach me. Even though it went against my nature, I longed to be a better friend to her.
My senior year Organ and I moved into a more steady relationship and I was pleased to try to introduce her to the rest of my suite mates that had NEVER met her before! I was amazed at how well she & I got along when no one else knew her; it made us seem like BFF's rather than just acquaintances!

A few years later it seemed that Organ and I were destined to live together forever, because her boyfriend and my husband are inseparable. Yep, Mr. O.C.D. himself my hubby are BEST BUDS, which meant that I needed to get to know Organization on an entirely new level.

We are getting along fine these days and I hope to show you some of the ways she has recently blessed our home.

I thought it only right that a proper introduction be made, and so readers: please, meet my friend Organization. Organization, these are my readers.
(if you've already met, please forgive me. If you haven't or are not dear friends, please stay tuned...she's taught me SO much!)

Hahahahaha! I just laughed out loud sitting at my desk at work. Suitemates who had NEVER met her before? Who could you POSSIBLY be referring to? Thanks for putting up with us and teaching us a thing or two along the way! :)

Oops! Busted! I had no idea people actually read these ramblings of mine!
Glad you got a laugh out of it!

I so wish Organ and I could become close friends. Even good acquaintances. Alas, it will never happen. I've resigned myself to that fact.

Very clever post! Did Organization used to be married to Disorganization but then took her name back after the divorce?

Organ and I had to take a break from each other for a while, but we're trying to reconcile now...hard to balance her with my other friend, creativity.

This post really put a smile on my face!! I too have a sister who has been BFFs with Organ and I mean, I kind of know her. We were friends for a while, but it was an on-again-off-again type friendship. But my newly wed husband really has no idea who she is (or if he wants anything to do with her!) You see my hubby really like his old pals Paper Clutter (PC for short) and Pack Rat. Those fellas REEEAAALLLY don't get along with Organ. So hopefully after my husband gets to know Organ a little better, he'll learn to love her as much as he loves me! :-)
