Recipe for Buttermilk

Recently a good friend of mine posted about her Buttermilk Delima.

I do not have the same problem she does primarily because of two specific recipes.

The first is from my husband's Aunt Mary. What a dear soul she is! She LOVES to eat whole and all natural. The first time I ever had her Blueberry Bran Muffins I was pregnant with my first child. I thought I had died and gone to bran heaven! They are SO good. (this picture of her was taken when our son was born. Oh, how she loves babies!)

(When I made them this morning I commented to my sister that it would be a shame to not share this recipe with the world!)

So dear friends, without further ado:

Aunt Mary's Blueberry Bran Muffins

Combine: 3 heaping cups of bran

2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour

2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

Add: slightly less than 1 cup honey

2 eggs

1/2 cup vegtable oil (canola)

2 cups buttermilk

When well blended, fold in 1 cup of blueberries

Top batter with brown sugar (or coarse organic sugar)

Bake at 400* for 20 minutes

This comment has nothing to do with the recipe but I just went through hundreds and hundreds of pictures, deleting some, cropping lots of them and enjoying the memories. I went through Sammy's birth photos, and this one with Aunt Mary I cropped in much more and it is so sweet. I wonder when we will see Aunt Mary again.....
