Son

A girlfriend and I had our Sons three weeks apart. My first day back at Church I asked her how things were going and if she felt differently about her son than she did her daughter. I was so impressed by her response and realized the same would be true of me. She said she didn't feel any different about her son, but that she noticed her prayers were different. The responsibility of raising a son had her pondering the differences that are born innate in these precious little beings. Her prayers for her daughter have always been kindness, peace, gentleness, beauty (inside & out), motherhood and family. In the short three week time she already noticed her prayers being for strength, leadership, protection, vision, fatherhood and family.

What a joy to have both a boy and a girl. To see God's perfect design in creating us male and female. What a blessing to be able to pray character qualities into the hearts of our children.

I only have daughters, but what a powerful thing it is to pray for our children!

Those are wonderful prayers and some day his wife will thank her for them.
