Okay, so my first step in couponing was to acquire some coupons. Last week I was able to snag the adds and coupons from the Sunday paper of someone who was not using them. This week I was not as lucky and decided to purchase two Sunday papers. (A total cost out of pocket of $4.00) If I continue to practice this coupon discipline, I will purchase Sunday papers delivered right to my door from the Sacramento Bee. I have a friend who has a deal with them bringing the cost down to about $0.80 per paper.
I've temporarily housed my coupons in simple file folders, dating them and putting them in order. On the Keeping up at Home website they have a handy dandy print out that lists the coupons in that flyer and the date the last one expires. This way you can cross off coupons used, as well as know when to throw that set of coupons into the recycle bin! (You can find it here at this link)
So due to sick kids, that's all I'm doing for a few days. (Although I did notice that there is a Target coupon for $1.00 off three Always products, and there were manufacture coupons for the same items. Think I might be saving up to $4.00 on my feminine products so that's a good thing!)
I'll keep you posted!

You should check out www.krazycouponlady.com That's where I got started with my couponing. Also if you have a printer you can print tons of coupons from the comfort of your home. That's what I do though I know I'll have to start purchasing the Sunday paper each week. Cute blog.
